About Jake Welch
Jake Welch is a Partner of ValueAct Capital. He is also a director of Armstrong Flooring, Inc. as a member of the Compensation and Finance Committees. A graduate of Harvard University, Jake studied Economics, graduating cum laude in his 2006 class. He is also a CFA charterholder (CFA). A CFA is a professional credential bestowed by the CFA Institute on financial and investment professionals who have completed its program of study, passed all three levels of its examinations, and met other professional requirements.
Before his work at ValueAct Capital, Jake worked as a Private Equity Analyst at the Blackstone Group in New York City. The Blackstone Group is a multinational private equity, alternative asset management and financial services firm based in New York City. Blackstone is the largest alternative investment firm in the world and it specializes in private equity and credit and hedge fund investment strategies.
ValueAct Capital, a San Francisco-based investment company that manages finances on behalf of several institutional and individual investors, is a privately owned hedge fund sponsor that provides its services to high net worth individuals and institutions. It invests in both the public equity and hedging markets.
